Nice artwork there. Seems to be a mixture of conventional type drawings, cartoony and ‘sketches’. I am probably using the wrong words entirely there though.

    Are they all freehand drawings?

Perfect artsy fartsy word choices! Yes…everything is freehand. But tell me….is the hand REALLY free?

Oooh, very philosophical. It’s like the blue pill vs the red pill choice in The Matrix – do you choose a freehand living a life of danger, or the blissful ignorance.

I would have taken the blissful ignorance if I had been Neo and learnt all that kung fu stuff the long way round.

I am glad my word choices were correct because I don’t usually have much luck with art stuff. I was in one of the big art galleries in London and saw a large, copper box in the middle of the floor. I went over to it, banged on the side of it and then got told off for touching the exhibits.

It was just a big, empty copper box! I walked away feeling chastised whilst my brain did a big “WTF”.

Never EVER bang on empty boxes that are featured in a swanky art exhibit. I have this fantasy of propositioning some high end art gallery to feature my latest masterpiece: A 20 foot blank canvas. I call it “Procrastination”.

The only way you could top that is to call your twenty foot blank canvas “Procrastination’s Snow” If you touch the canvas with anything lightly brush the very center once or twice with a stroke of opaque mother of pearle winter white which will leave behind that sparkle in the light….. Hand the gallery owner a pair of super dark sun glasses to view your canvas (with a superior look on your face, of course) and then show the canvas to them. Absolutely guarantee you they would take you seriously…..even though you are pulling their leg from both sides. TOO funny.

I like the simplicity of the black and white designs, particularly the line drawing of the woman in profile.

It’s clear why you steal pens. They serve a better purpose in your hands.

It’s the simplicity I like – get a pencil, any old pencil or in your case “pen” and another world opens up. Love it!

I think you have an amazing talent, writing, art, photos… what can’t you do? I would love to see if I can maybe use some of your art for some of my poems backgrounds… I am currently finishing my degree in Spanish lit and in my spare time I write poems for no special occassion (but I do wirte some specially for my wife). At the moment my wife and I are expecting a baby (it happens to be a boy) and noticed that you have some art that I would like to use for one or more of my poems as background like I said before and would like to know if you would allow me to do so… Thanks for making this world a better one with your gift.

Your work is kind of similar to Jordi Labanda. Except yours is softer.

April, I have to laugh at the excellent idea of the blank canvas with the perfect title. You might actually find a taker, especially if they truly know anything about the artsy type personalities : ) .

Love your work and the variety.
